GLINO · From Squarespace to its own shop · 2026
A template got them started. Now the site looks like the product.
GLINO 3D-prints ceramic lighting in Slovenia. Their Squarespace site was one line of text, a Learn more button and an email address. We built a dark, product-first site with its own shop, so the ORION lamp is shown the way it looks in a room.

The problem
- Squarespace is quick to start with, then it decides how your site looks. Every product shot sat inside the same template as thousands of other sites.
- The homepage didn't sell anything. One sentence, one button, an email address and a link to Instagram.
- A monthly plan, plus commerce fees, for a site the business could never take with it.
What we built
01
Product first
Full-bleed close-ups of the printed texture on a near-black page. The lamp is the hero, the copy stays out of its way.
02
A shop they own
Product pages, search, cart and checkout in their own codebase. No template limits, no platform cut on each order.
03
Ready for the next product
ORION is the first product, not the only one. Adding the next is a content change, not a redesign.

The takeaway
Website builders are fine until the brand outgrows them. Moving to your own code removes the template ceiling and the monthly lock-in.
